Nebulae around cluster NGC 2264

The Cone Nebula (NGC 2264) on top of the image is an H II region in the constellation of Monoceros located approximately 2,600 light years away from Earth.
The brightest star in the center is S Monocerotos which is 4,7 magnitude. This image is based on data acquired by the Oschin Telescope at the Mount Palomar Observatory.
