The Glorieuses are a group of two french islands located in the Indian Ocean between Madagascar and the Comoros. At left is Grande Glorieuse island, at right is Ile du Lys. The islands were protected by the French government in 1975 because of their importance for turtles and seabird nesting. Image taken from the International Space Station (ISS) on june 17, 2001.
