Stars in galaxy NGC 253

NGC 253 is a large, almost edge-on spiral galaxy, and is one of the nearest galaxies beyond our local neighborhood of galaxies. In this image taken by Hubble space telescope thousands of individual stars are resolved in this galaxy located 13 millions light years away.
