Jupiter's Main ring is believed to be composed of dust and debris from meteoroid impacts with Jupiter's tiny innermost satellites Metis and Adrastea. Jupiter hosts two other broader and more diffuse rings which are believed to be generated and replenished by meteoroid impacts on the tiny satellites Thebe and Amalthea.
