The telescope launched on 30 August 2026 is based on an existing 2.4-meter (7.9-foot) primary mirror with a wide field of view. It wiil be used for a search for exoplanets using gravitational microlensing along with probing the chronology of the universe and growth of cosmic structure, with the end goal of measuring the effects of dark energy
