Mauna Kea observatory is located on the summit of Mauna Kea at an altitude of 4,200 m (13,779feet), on the Big Island of Hawaii, USA. From left to right are : the NASA's 3 meter infrared telescope (IRTF), CFHT, Gemini North, the 2,2m UH, and the 3.8m U.K. infrared reflecting telescope (UKIRT).
