A view of Hadley Rille, looking northwest, as photographed from near Station No. 2 (St. George Crater) during the first Apollo 15 lunar surface extravehicular activity (EVA). This picture shows layering in the rille wall and blocks on the floor of the rille. The feature referred to as the "Terrace" is visible on the right (east) side of the rille. While astronauts David R. Scott, commander, and James B. Irwin, lunar module pilot, descended in the Lunar Module (LM) "Falcon" to explore the moon, astronaut Alfred M. Worden, command module pilot, remained with the Command and Service Module's (CSM) in lunar orbit. 31 July 1971.
