Gazing at the stars

Star party in Romania. Here we are observing with the 14.5" telescope. Above the telescope there's Orion, probably the most famous constellation in the winter sky, with its red giant Betelgeuse. Close to the upper edge of the photo you can see the open cluster of the Pleiades. In between Orion and the Pleiades, we have the head of Taurus, the Bull. That is actually another open cluster called the Hyades.
