On 26 November 2010, an Ariane 5 launcher lifted off from Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana on its mission to place two telecommunications satellites, Hylas-1 and Intelsat 17, into their planned transfer orbits.
Liftoff of V198, the 54th Ariane 5 flight, came at 19:39 CET (18:39 GMT; 15:39 French Guiana).
