This wide field image shows the Galactic Center region in the Milky Way. It is a very rich region of the sky, and is located in the constellations of Scorpius and Sagittarius. Among the zones and objects of interest on this image are : the colourful Antares region , the Baade window region , the Lagoon Nebula region with, just above it, the Trifid Nebula. The large and dark Pipe Nebula sits in the middle of this field.
