The brightest region of the Milky Way in the constellations Sagittarius and Scorpius is toward the center of the galaxy, some 27000 light years away. In this deep view above Alborz Mountains the two stars of the scorpion's tail is right above the horizon while several notable deep sky objects, including bright star clusters and nebulae of the region are visible along the band of Milky Way.
