This is how the Earth may have appeared 443 million years ago during the Silurian period. The northern most continent is what would become today's Siberia and to the west of that is the Panthalassic Ocean. South of the equator to the east is the early-Palaeozoic continent of Baltica later to form part of Eurasia, while to the east is the continent of Laurentia later to become the core of North America. Further south is the Rheic Ocean and to the west the Iapetus Ocean.
