Dr. Motta, a well known physician, owns one of the world's largest amateur telescopes, built by him and members of the Boston astronomy club.
The home built 32'' telescope with research level accuracy is mainly used for variable star measurement and detecting exo planet transits. The observatory is a part of Motta's house.
