This rich region of emission and dark nebulae is located in Cygnus, just east of Deneb. The "Gulf of Mexico" region of the North American Nebula, NGC 7000, surrounds the dark nebula LDN935 at the left of the photo. The North American Nebula is a large patch of bright nebulosity easily seen in binoculars from a dark location. The Pelican Nebula, IC 5067, occupies most of the right hand side of the frame. It is much fainter and is difficult to observe visually. The two brightest stars in the frame are 56 and 57 Cygni.
