M100 (NGC 4321) is a about 60 million light years away from Earth in the Virgo cluster. Center right of the image is SN2006X, a Type 1a supernova discovered in M100 on Febuary 04 2006. Image obtained from the ESO/Danish 1.5m telescope at La Silla, Chile.
