The 11,000 year-old ice-cap on the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro has almost completely disappeared ; 80% of the ice fields have been lost in only the last century, and some studies project that glaciers could be completely gone from Kilimanjaro by the year 2015.
Landsat-7 imagery acquired on February 21 2000.
