BepiColombo is a joint Cornerstone mission of the European Space (ESA) and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) to the planet Mercury.
The launch is scheduled in 2018 to reach Mercury in 2025.
The MPO spacecraft is set up mainly for the studies of surface and internal structure of Mercury.
The MMO spacecraft mainly aims the study of the magnetic field and magnetosphere of Mercury.
