Tenerife, the largest of Spain’s Canary Islands seen from space by Landsat 8 satellite on January 25, 2016. The summit of the Teide stratovolcano reaches 3,718 meters (12,198 feet) above sea level. If you include what’s below the water line, the volcano rises 7,500 meters (24,606 feet) from the ocean floor, making it the third tallest volcanic structure on Earth.
